Carli went to the doctor today for her 6 month check-up. She weighed in at 14 pounds 10 ounces and was 24 inches long. That puts her in the 33rd percentile for weight and the 25th for height. I can't remember her head circumference, but I do know it was in the 75th percentile.
Funny thing happened, the doctor looked at the wrong chart when he was doing her weight percentile, and told me that she was above the 95th percentile. For those of you unfamiliar with what that means, he was basically telling me that she was heavier than over 95 percent of kids her age. I was shocked! He began to tell me that it was fine and that she was not a fat baby. I responded by stating she had always been in the 50th percentile or lower, that people always tell me how small she is, and that I must have really shoved too many solids on her this month. Then, he realized his mistake and told me she was in the 33rd. We had a good laugh about it.
She is doing wonderfully and is a perfectly healthy little girl. She is growing up so fast.
